There is a booking form on this website. It streamlines the whole booking process and keeps us from playing email ping pong. Some appointment requests will require an in person consult, all appointments will require a $200 cash deposit, which goes toward your tattoo. I am only able to accept online payments as an absolute last resort. From the time of setting the date of your appointment you’ve got about a week to drop off your deposit to secure the date we discussed or else you risk losing your spot on my calendar. Deposits are nonrefundable but are only lost if you no-call-no-show or reschedule your appointment within 48 hours of your sceduled appointment time.

I generally book roughly 2-3 months out depending on the design. Sometimes I am able to fit smaller things in, but for the most part I try to get to things in the order in which I receive them. I book appointments Wednesday-Friday from noon-7, usually taking my last appointment of the day at 4 or 5. Saturdays are generally reserved for walk-ins though I can sometimes make exceptions for out of town clients. I also have a waitlist for when I get cancellations, so if you let me know your availability via the form I can let you know if a spot opens up.

Yes, when I am able! I generally book the weekdays up and try to leave my Saturdays open for walk-ins, first come first served. I also am sometimes able to squeeze small tattoos in Wednesday-Friday depending on when I finish my appointments. Walk-ins are generally reserved for tattoos that take an hour to draw and two hours or less to tattoo.

I generally charge by the piece. I tend to ask people what their budget is and am generally able to draw within that, within reason. Design, placement, color, and size are a few things that affect price. Images from my design book generally start at $300 and go up from there, with a few smaller exceptions. As far as custom work, my minimum starts at $150 and goes up from there. Have questions? Just ask. We are currently CASH ONLY (there is an ATM down the street!)

See Q1 and Q4 for more information, but in short- yes and no, but mostly no. The shop is cash only and I do not take online payments for tattoos.

I do not show designs before the day of the appointment. I usually draw my tattoos in the days leading up to the appointment. Due to the high volume of tattoos that I create during a week, I don’t have much wiggle room when it comes to switching up my drawing order. In short, be patient, everyone else is and it’s the system that works for me. Just trust that I will take all the information you’ve given me and work to make a design that you and I will both be happy with, and if changes need to be made I am flexible, within reason.

Yes! I have a book of flash that is available to be viewed at the shop. I also am happy to take on custom projects as well. That being said, I certainly prefer working in my style and give priority to the requests that align with my style and vision. I consider myself a versatile tattooer and enjoy a challenge, but if there is something that is not in my wheelhouse, I will gladly refer you to someone that I think would be better suited for the job.

Custom tattoos are drawn specifically for you and will generally require a consultation. Flash by nature implies that it is able to be tattooed multiple times and as the designs in my book are my own original designs, I could tattoo them again if I wanted to. Generally I prefer to switch things up though, so if you like something that I’ve done then let me know and we can talk about the possibilities. I try to constantly add new designs to my book, which is only available to view in person at the shop.

It changes depending on the tattoo and placement, but for the most part for highly saturated tattoos I recommend wrapping with Aquaphor the first several nights. SO- you should gently wash your tattoo with a non-scented antibacterial soap, apply a thin layer of Aquaphor, wrap with cling wrap, dream your sweet dreams, wake up, gently wash with antibacterial soap, and then go about your day. Don’t pick your scabs, weirdo.

I have been tattooing since 2016, working in shops since 2013.

Yes I do! There are a handful of places around the country that I like to frequent but if you’re interested in me coming to your city- let me know and I’ll make note of it! I generally update my travel schedule on my Instagram.

To book I ask that you submit a booking request through my website, which is then directed to my email. I do all of my own correspondence so sometimes my emails get backed up but I try to respond to them once a week. If you need to reach me sooner than that you can call the shop or send me a message on Instagram, though I really prefer to keep my dm’s casual and free of important information. You
can also send an email directly to ellensaintm@gmail.com.
